Ah, Costa Rica… the small Central American country nestled between the southern most tip of Mexico and the northern part of South America, that is rich in biodiversity, full of volcanoes and rainforests, a scuba diver’s and surfer’s playground, and boasting a beautiful history and legacy is a place that must be visited once in your lifetime. It’s with no surprise that this unique country is one of the most highly valued tourist destinations in the world. Comprised of seven provinces, it’s an adventurer and nature lover’s paradise, filled with activities to keep you mesmerized from sun up to sun down, yet also appeals to those who prefer a slower pace while on vacation, with perfect beaches, peaceful rivers, and majestic mountain views.
As the nights turn from chilly to sultry, it’s time to switch out your child’s pajama drawer from the cozy, fleece, long sleeve and pant sets to something lighter, brighter, and seasonally stylish. Replace the polar bears and snowmen with surfboards and watermelon.
Parents love umbrella strollers; they’re lightweight, compact, and convenient, but more often than not they’re only feasible for carrying a kid. Sure, for all intents and purposes, a stroller is made for just carrying a kid, but we all know that kids don’t just come with cute little toes and pudgy bellies; they also pack a punch with sippy cups, ten thousand bags of snacks, toys, diapers, and a slew of other “necessities” to make a simple ride in a stroller a success. So, when we found the Summer Infant 3Dtote umbrella stroller that boasts an enormous storage capacity – even larger than some full size stroller’s! – we were giddy and relieved that finally we would be able to carry it all, everywhere we went… oh yeah, plus the kid.
Arizona is a magical place, full of desert beauty, snow capped peaks, canyon lakes, and magnificent wildlife. It’s a state where you can view dusty, sandy grounds dotted with cacti as towering mountains blanketed with snow serve as a backdrop, all in one scene. Wild horses and cattle roam the landscapes, while one lane roads stretch for miles between sky high striped rocky cliffs. Where world famous landmarks lay as people from all over the Earth come to photograph and honor their longevity. It’s a place where the views that are set before your eyes seem unreal, as something flawlessly painted by an artist, a priceless piece of art. Even though it’s impossible to capture on a screen what these views look like in real time, we still tried to portray the power of nature and faith in these images, from the north to the south of Arizona. Savor each image, and please add them to your traveling bucket list, as each is truly a sight to behold.

This spring break was a bit out of the ordinary for Elena and I (Dani) and our two kiddos. If you’ve been around Daily Mom at all, you know that we have a bad case of wanderlust, especially when it comes to us two. Half of the grand travel gestures we toss around never come to fruition, but this time was different. Elena decided to spend every extra minute she had – and trust me, there are not many extra minutes in this power woman’s day – on planning the perfect kid-friendly, with an educational twist, ten day trip on the other side of the country. Her hard work paid off, and we are currently – I’m literally sitting on the lawn of Tanque Verde Ranch writing this post – traveling through the state of Arizona, soaking in all the sunshine, desert heat, and cowboy facts we can find. Our first leg of the trip landed us in Tucson, at the best dude ranch in Arizona, the Tanque Verde Ranch. We’re pretty okay with just staying here for the whole week, as it’s a western paradise that fulfills us in every way, but our restless souls will ultimately move on tomorrow. So here is our diary entry into these last three days that were spent on an authentic ranch, together with our little cowboy and cowgal, Eli and Lexi.
Spring breaks are like Christmas; every year they come rolling around, whether we’re ready or not. If your typical spring break consists of lounging around the house, plugged into the boredom-busters, listening to the kids fight while you catch up on laundry and Netflix episodes, consider doing something different next year when spring break creeps up on you. If you’re craving a bit of adventure and western flair, whether you live on the East Coast or the West, pack up the cowboy boots and hats, and take the family to a real life dude ranch in beautiful Tucson, Arizona. Tanque Verde Ranch is your answer to a week full of disconnected family bonding time, spent among the most stunning landscapes and wildlife that nature has to offer.
If you’re anything like us, when it’s time to clear aside the winter boots and pack up the snow suits, all becomes right with the world again. Spring has sprung, and so have our kid’s shoe sizes. With a new season comes new trips to the store to bring a little color and spirit back to wardrobes and shoe racks. You know your kids are almost as excited as you are to be outside again, running through the grass, hiking through the woods, and riding bikes until dinner time. Be sure when you’re choosing their shoes this spring that you don’t just opt for the cutest pairs, but also the most durable, because your littles are going to be hitting the ground hard. Stock them up with KEEN Kid’s new spring styles, and you can enjoy the best of all shoe worlds, fashion and function, all rolled into a pair of shoes that will far outlast their growing feet.

With 13,000 public campgrounds in the US and Canada (and that doesn’t even count private ones or go-pitch-a-tent-in-an-abandoned-field ones), we have good reason to believe that the oftentimes thought of extinct act of camping does still, in fact, exist. That there are still families who own a sleeping bag and a canteen and aren’t afraid to put down the smartphone for a night or two warms our souls. So, as the temperature starts to thaw, the kids begin to remember what grass and trees are, and Mom and Dad are finally ready to tackle that New Year’s resolution of “spend more time together as a family”, it’s time to circle a weekend on the calendar and go good ol’ fashioned camping!
We won’t let you take ol’ fashioned camping too literally, though. In this day and age, even basic camping gear comes with bells and whistles. We’re excited to show you what the camping gear industry looks like today, and what essential – yet oh so cool – products are out there to give your family-friendly camping excursion a modern and just-like-home feel.

A woman’s staple makeup product is mascara; every makeup bag has one, and if you’re playing by the rules, you’re buying a new tube every three months. Even if you’re forgoing a full face morning makeup application – who are you really trying to impress in the carpool lane anyways? – we can betcha that a quick swipe of mascara subconsciously makes its way across your lashes. Let’s face it ladies, we all want Twiggy looking eyes, that pop and shine, with lush lashes a mile long.
Although wanting the lusted after celebrity windows to your soul, we probably would prefer going a more natural route instead of sticky fakes and extensions, and lord knows what other pricey and exotic treatments they are using these days. Well, for us regular ‘ol ladies who prefer au naturale with little to no maintenance or work – we’re not lazy, we’re moms, c’mon – Rodan + Fields has come to our rescue with their life changing – no, we’re not being dramatic, it’s our EYES we’re talking about here! – new Lash Boost serum, that easily and gradually – because good things come to those who wait – gives your lashes more length, thickness, and darkness.
