No matter where you are in your family planning, monitoring your ovulation is an experience that can help you manage your health throughout the year.
As ovulation is the window during the month when a woman is most fertile, being aware of that time frame can help you to conceive or not conceive, dependent on what your goals and intentions are. When using a hormonal birth control like the pill, ovulation is prevented entirely.
Remember your first pregnancy? If you were like us, you were so excited to create a baby registry in preparation for the multitude of showers being thrown for you, but that excitement quickly turned into anxiety as you stepped into the baby store. Who knew that there could be so many baby products, and why are they all so necessary? Or are they?
The truth is that much of what we had to have the first go round wasn’t really necessary (useful, but not necessary). In fact, as we prepared for baby #2, we realized that much beyond milk, diapers, and a car seat, babies don’t need much. That said, it doesn’t mean that we all don’t still enjoy buying baby products. However, having a little experience goes a long way towards choosing smarter, more natural, higher quality products. When you know better, you do better. Period.

By sharing our event page, RSVP’ing to the event page, and sharing the LIVE video on Facebook, you can also gain extra entries – and you’ll want them after reading about all the gear that’s up for grabs, below!
Long gone are the days of baby registries that consisted of a stroller, a bassinet and some simple swaddles. Today, baby gear is innovative, modern and designed with a focus on quality, practicality, functionality, safety and style. And while it’s practical to receive a mountain of diapers at your baby shower, chances are they might not be the kind you plan on using for your baby. You might also find yourself swimming in piles of adorable newborn onesies or baby birthday outfit, but what happens after your little one outgrows them in a month?
If you’re in your third trimester, the inevitable is near. Ready or not, the baby (or babies) who have been camping out in your tummy will finally make their grand entrance into the world. Therefore, it’s time to pack your hospital bag (assuming that you’re having a hospital birth). Having been there before, we’ve found that these items are absolutely essential for having a positive labor and delivery experience.

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, 12% of the population who are currently in their reproductive years are infertile. These statistics are troubling, and although fertility can take a significant toll on your emotional well-being, there is still hope! There is hope because as science advances so do alternative conception methods.
The National Institute of Health reports that more than 1/2 of all couples experiencing infertility are able to conceive after receiving treatment. When it comes to which treatment a couple should focus on, it depends largely on the cause of their infertility. The costs of treatments also vary widely due to what treatment path your doctor advises.
Here are some alternative conception methods to keep your hopes running high!
Holding your baby for the first time is still engrained in your mind as though it were only yesterday that they were born. You can still remember their small frame sleeping in your arms quietly cooing in their sleep as their chest slowly rises and lowers. The genuine love and immediate sense of protection is over-whelming, yet it is everything that was ever hoped for when becoming a parent.
Birthing a baby, though obviously quite normal, seems to be complicated in today’s culture. From the moment you announce your pregnancy, people will have advice to give. There are choices to be made and—once you’ve made those choices—choices to be defended at seemingly every turn. Everyone (or so it seems) has a pregnancy or birth or postpartum horror story to tell—whether it’s theirs or just someone they know. With all this information and confusion, it’s easy to get overwhelmed and scared at the very thought of giving birth.
Making a baby is one of the most natural things in the world, but for some it doesn’t come naturally. For those people, the months tend to drag on, and that second pink line never comes. For those who have problems conceiving, sex tends to become a chore rather than an intimate moment that you look forward to.
Today, we dive into the wacky world of trying to conceive.
