Arizona is a magical place, full of desert beauty, snow capped peaks, canyon lakes, and magnificent wildlife. It’s a state where you can view dusty, sandy grounds dotted with cacti as towering mountains blanketed with snow serve as a backdrop, all in one scene. Wild horses and cattle roam the landscapes, while one lane roads stretch for miles between sky high striped rocky cliffs. Where world famous landmarks lay as people from all over the Earth come to photograph and honor their longevity. It’s a place where the views that are set before your eyes seem unreal, as something flawlessly painted by an artist, a priceless piece of art. Even though it’s impossible to capture on a screen what these views look like in real time, we still tried to portray the power of nature and faith in these images, from the north to the south of Arizona. Savor each image, and please add them to your traveling bucket list, as each is truly a sight to behold.

You will want to hit up this area immediately. The dining choices are endless, and the food experiences are memorable. Here are six of our favorite restaurants to visit in and around Minneapolis.
Road trips are one of the best ways to vacation, especially when you’re towing along a couple kids. Whether you’re flying cross country and picking up an RV for a week, or just venturing out your backdoor in the minivan for a long weekend of local adventure, seeing what this country has to offer out the windows of a vehicle is a satisfying experience, for both young and old. We recently road tripped through the state of Arizona, from top to bottom, and along the way found great bucket list stops, everything from nature and landmark viewing to museums and aquariums, all kid-friendly, yet still fascinating and fun for adults. So whether Arizona is hundreds of miles away or right in your backyard, load up the car and the kids and get road trippin’. Leave the to-do list to us!
This spring break was a bit out of the ordinary for Elena and I (Dani) and our two kiddos. If you’ve been around Daily Mom at all, you know that we have a bad case of wanderlust, especially when it comes to us two. Half of the grand travel gestures we toss around never come to fruition, but this time was different. Elena decided to spend every extra minute she had – and trust me, there are not many extra minutes in this power woman’s day – on planning the perfect kid-friendly, with an educational twist, ten day trip on the other side of the country. Her hard work paid off, and we are currently – I’m literally sitting on the lawn of Tanque Verde Ranch writing this post – traveling through the state of Arizona, soaking in all the sunshine, desert heat, and cowboy facts we can find. Our first leg of the trip landed us in Tucson, at the best dude ranch in Arizona, the Tanque Verde Ranch. We’re pretty okay with just staying here for the whole week, as it’s a western paradise that fulfills us in every way, but our restless souls will ultimately move on tomorrow. So here is our diary entry into these last three days that were spent on an authentic ranch, together with our little cowboy and cowgal, Eli and Lexi.
This spring and summer, we want to inspire you to hit the road and visit new places. Weekend getaways are perfect for the busy family wanting to travel. I’m Elena, Daily Mom’s managing editor and lover of all things travel. I want to share my city, Naples, Florida with our readers. I am always jetting off to other locations all over the world, but I call Naples home and know that it is a fabulous place to visit. If you want to visit Florida this summer, I think you should add Naples to your itinerary. Here is my personal list of places to visit and see while you are in my gorgeous city on the Gulf!
Easter is first and foremost a religious holiday. People gather in churches (sometimes for the first time all year) to celebrate The Resurrection. Of course for us moms, there’s another side to this beautiful holiday – the Easter Bunny. Where the idea to have a man-sized rabbit hop around depositing eggs came from, we may never truly know, but every kid loves a good egg hunt! Couple all of this with the fact that it’s often a three day weekend for most employees, and you’ve got the makings of a great vacation. Here are a few great getaway ideas for this Easter, all on the East Coast, complete with Sunrise Services, chocolate bunnies, and the most comfy beds we could find!
You’ve decided to load up the ladies and girl trip it to Vegas. Whether it’s for a bachelorette party, a birthday celebration, or just a plain ‘ol have-fun trip, besides finding the best hotel and most entertaining shows, you should have a general idea of the coolest and most delicious places to grab a bite to eat during your stay. You’ll definitely need to keep your energy up while hitting the dance floors and pulling the slots, so let us give you our top six girls-trip approved dining digs in Sin City.
With 13,000 public campgrounds in the US and Canada (and that doesn’t even count private ones or go-pitch-a-tent-in-an-abandoned-field ones), we have good reason to believe that the oftentimes thought of extinct act of camping does still, in fact, exist. That there are still families who own a sleeping bag and a canteen and aren’t afraid to put down the smartphone for a night or two warms our souls. So, as the temperature starts to thaw, the kids begin to remember what grass and trees are, and Mom and Dad are finally ready to tackle that New Year’s resolution of “spend more time together as a family”, it’s time to circle a weekend on the calendar and go good ol’ fashioned camping!
We won’t let you take ol’ fashioned camping too literally, though. In this day and age, even basic camping gear comes with bells and whistles. We’re excited to show you what the camping gear industry looks like today, and what essential – yet oh so cool – products are out there to give your family-friendly camping excursion a modern and just-like-home feel.
Mazatlán is a wonderful city in the Mexican state of Sinaloa. This resort town located on the Pacific Coast has so much to offer. You can stay at an all-inclusive resort and still venture out for an authentic local experience. There is so much to see and do here. Try the cuisine, enjoy the natural beauty, learn about local history, and just generally have a ridiculously fun time while doing all this. Mazatlán itself is a very historic town, authentically Mexican, not overly touristy, and has lots of flights (direct) from the continental US and Canada. Believe it or not, you can experience the best of Mazatlán in less than a week. Here is how…
Each year, people in Mexico gather together to celebrate the Day of the Dead or Día de los Muertos. This holiday and its celebrations are unique to Mexico. It is actually celebrated over more than one day as everyone gathers together in different ways to remember friends and families that have died. This holiday is also famous for the colorful, yet gothic style art, costumes, decorations, and imagery. While the Day of the Dead is celebrated all over Mexico and by those of Mexican descent everywhere, especially in the United States, if you want to experience this cultural tradition firsthand, you should travel to Mazatlán. This historic city celebrates The Day of the Dead like nowhere else. Just take a look…
