Grand View Lodge has been a part of Northern Minnesotan history for over 100 years. Located in Nisswa, it has continued to stand the test of time as a resort destination. For many, it has become a second home, as multiple generations of families have now spent years making fond memories here. It was a perfect oasis on the lake to escape the hot Minnesota summers, and its popularity only grew from there. Grand View Lodge is still a perfect place to visit if you want to relax, have fun, and feel pampered.

When it comes to the summer vacation for the family, you’ve got a slew of options. Two of the most important: to go or not to go! According to actress, producer, host, New York Times Best-Selling Author, inspirational speaker, wife, and mother of 3, Candace Cameron Bure says the family summer vacation does not have to be stressful, boring, or consist of worrying about if everyone is happy. “Working in Hollywood, it’s essential to prioritize family time and create lasting memories with summer vacations that everyone in the family can enjoy,” Bure said. “Kalahari Resorts is a family-owned business, and they deeply understand the importance of family time. I couldn’t be more excited to be a part of the celebration as they expand their guest offerings nationwide.”
Planning a family vacation can be difficult, especially when you are trying to juggle all the needs and wants on every person’s wish list. In addition, traveling with kids can be stressful – from the excursion to your destination to the entire family sleeping in one room – can make any parent’s head spin. One of the best options for a family vacation is a place where the staff understands what parents need when taking a family vacation and who take a proactive approach to making sure everyone is comfortable. A resort that meets the needs of Mom and Dad with comfortable rooms, delicious food, and cocktails at the end of the day, as well as the needs of the kids with plenty of fun activities, kid-friendly accommodations, and a safe place to have adventures. You can find all of this and more at Great Wolf Lodge in Kansas City.

Recently my family took a trip to Southern California. While we currently live in the Detroit area of Michigan, I was born and raised in Southern California, and half of my family still lives there. With my two young children, we make it a point to travel as a family to visit the area at least once every couple years. This time though, it was different. We didn’t really feel like we were traveling with babies any more, since my youngest is three years old, and my oldest is five. We didn’t have to schedule anything around naps, or breastfeeding breaks, or diaper changes, and that (in and of itself) was amazing. We did, however, get the opportunity to test drive a Mazda CX-9 for the week, as well as visit Disneyland with the children, and I’m here to tell you all about that experience today.
As summer approaches, many families begin to plan family vacations. We dream of fun at theme parks, exciting adventures around the country, or a relaxing vacation at the beach. All of those things sound wonderful – in theory – until you realize you have to actually get to the vacation spot before you can enjoy all of those things. And even when you get there, there is the headache of all the gear you have to carry, making sure everyone has snacks (we don’t want any hangry toddlers after all), and generally trying to keep everyone happy, all while making sure you catch brief moments of joy to share on social media so you can prove that you did, indeed, have a good time with your family. Experienced parents know that fun family vacations are do-able if you have the right #lifehacks up your sleeve. Below are some of the best travel tricks and tips for a headache-free family vacation.

Arizona is a magical place, full of desert beauty, snow capped peaks, canyon lakes, and magnificent wildlife. It’s a state where you can view dusty, sandy grounds dotted with cacti as towering mountains blanketed with snow serve as a backdrop, all in one scene. Wild horses and cattle roam the landscapes, while one lane roads stretch for miles between sky high striped rocky cliffs. Where world famous landmarks lay as people from all over the Earth come to photograph and honor their longevity. It’s a place where the views that are set before your eyes seem unreal, as something flawlessly painted by an artist, a priceless piece of art. Even though it’s impossible to capture on a screen what these views look like in real time, we still tried to portray the power of nature and faith in these images, from the north to the south of Arizona. Savor each image, and please add them to your traveling bucket list, as each is truly a sight to behold.
