Car Seat Guide: Baby Jogger City GO
There’s a new sleek, chic infant car seat in town, and it’s the Baby Jogger City GO. This infant seat offers top-of-the line safety features, wrapped up in a stunning, modern-looking design. The City GO infant car seat is ideal for modern parents on-the-go, who place the utmost importance on design, function, and safety.
About Baby Jogger
Baby Jogger is one of the top infant and toddler stroller companies in the U.S., having created the very first jogging stroller back in 1984. Since then, they have been creating innovative solutions for today’s parents, aimed to help parents continue pursuing what’s important to them – staying active with a baby in tow.
Comfort & Design
The Baby Jogger City GO infant car seat offers an uber-plush, sleek interior for the most comfortable ride for your new baby. We’ll be honest – we love this seat because it’s ridiculously easy to use, with key safety features to boot, and it just looks cool.
The seat easily snaps in and out of the included base, so you don’t need to worry about fumbling around in a parking lot, with your arms full of groceries, diapers, etc., trying to get baby into the car. Your baby will also be protected from the sun’s harmful rays with the City GO’s retractable extra large canopy top, providing a UPF protection of 50+.
This seat also easily attaches to your favorite Baby Jogger stroller (including older models), creating the ultimate travel system and allowing you and baby to be on-the-go from the start. You can also use the City GO car seat when on the move in the city! One of our favorite features is that the seat can be used with no base. With no base needed, you can quickly install the seat in a taxi or rental car, using the provided taxi-safe seat belt path, and rest easy knowing that your baby is safe in the event of an accident.
As a new parent, safety is your ultimate concern, and with Baby Jogger, you can’t go wrong. The City GO is engineered and crash tested to meet or exceed US standard FMVSS 213, and side-impact tested to ensure the safest ride for your new baby. It’s made with EPS energy-absorbing foam for effective impact energy management, and features a comfortable 5-point harness. And one of the best parts of this 5-point harness is that it doesn’t get tangled or twisted, like other car seat straps can do – and it’s oh-so-easy to tighten and loosen the straps for your baby.
If you choose to use the base, you’ll have six base positions to select from, ensuring a safe, rock-solid fit in your unique vehicle. The base also comes fully equipped with bubble level indicators on each side, to give you a clear visual indicator to see when the seat is properly installed. The base also allows for easy-to-use push button LATCH installation as well as seat belt installation.
This infant seat accommodates babies up to 32 inches long, and from 4 pounds to 35 pounds, which is one of the largest weight spans on the market and will easily last through your infant’s first year. As your infant grows, you can make simple adjustments to the harness through a button on the back of the seat which allows you to slide the harness up and down. No tricky re-threading needed!
So, if you’re in the market for an infant car seat that is incredibly simple to use and avoids the pitfalls of many infant seats, the Baby Jogger City GO is for you and your baby.
