You can also use the City GO car seat when on the move in the city! One of our favorite features is that the seat can be used with no base. With no base needed, you can quickly install the seat in a taxi or rental car, using the provided taxi-safe seat belt path, and rest easy knowing that your baby is safe in the event of an accident.
Safety Features
As a new parent, safety is your ultimate concern, and with Baby Jogger, you can’t go wrong. The City GO is engineered and crash tested to meet or exceed US standard FMVSS 213, and side-impact tested to ensure the safest ride for your new baby. It’s made with EPS energy-absorbing foam for effective impact energy management, and features a comfortable 5-point harness. And one of the best parts of this 5-point harness is that it doesn’t get tangled or twisted, like other car seat straps can do – and it’s oh-so-easy to tighten and loosen the straps for your baby.
If you choose to use the base, you’ll have six base positions to select from, ensuring a safe, rock-solid fit in your unique vehicle. The base also comes fully equipped with bubble level indicators on each side, to give you a clear visual indicator to see when the seat is properly installed. The base also allows for easy-to-use push button LATCH installation as well as seat belt installation.
This infant seat accommodates babies up to 32 inches long, and from 4 pounds to 35 pounds, which is one of the largest weight spans on the market and will easily last through your infant’s first year. As your infant grows, you can make simple adjustments to the harness through a button on the back of the seat which allows you to slide the harness up and down. No tricky re-threading needed!
