Exciting Travel Products from ABC Kids Expo 2014

Daily Mom recently returned from the 2014 ABC Kids Expo in Las Vegas, Nevada – the world’s premier trade show for children’s products. Two of our editors spent long days scouring the floor for the best new products for kids, babies, and parents. We’ve already shared with you the latest and greatest when it comes to strollers, toys, and feeding products and now it’s time for all things travel related. Check out these amazing car seats, baby carriers, and more!

Combi came out with two new (gorgeous!) color choices for their popular convertible car seat.

Cosco showed off two new, sleek car seat models due out in January. Both of these seats will be extremely budget-friendly and can rear face up to age two.

Cybex displayed futuristic looking high-back boosters for the ultimate protection with shoulder belt use.

Cybex also showed off an innovative new infant car seat: the Cloud 2. It has the ability to fully recline for sleeping babies (when out of the car). They also shared two amazing safety features for their infant seats. There is a leg on the car seat base that absorbs impact and stabilizes the seat in an accident. There is also a little arm on the side for side impact protection – in case of a collision the arm absorbs most of the impact.

Diono’s new high-back booster features a removable back for years of use as your child grows.

The Rainier convertible car seat by Diono can rear face all the way to 50 lbs! And it’s just as safe with your newborn baby, too.

Diono also has some great new designs (we love the houndstooth!) and showed off how their slim profile seats can easily fit three across in a back seat.

Evenflo’s 5 point boosters keep older children as safe as possible – no need to rush them into using the vehicle belts with these!

The Maxi-Cosi Pria 85 comes in new fashions with completely new fabrics made of bamboo! This means that they are awesome in heat and deal with moisture well.

Phil & Teds

Phil & Teds’ infant car seats are extremely light weight – only 6 pounds!

Phil & Teds’ baby carrier carrier is light and thin with mesh sides for venting (perfect for warmer climates). Their framed backpack carrier is also very light weight and great for older little ones.

My Carry Potty

These portable travel potties seal shut to be leak proof and odor proof when there is waste (if your little one needs to go mid-trip) and can easily be carried around by the handle (without waste) for ultimate travel portability.

Thule added a new front bike seat for smaller kids. These are awesome for active families!

Thule’s backpack child carrier is extremely lightweight and perfect for hiking. It features tons of pockets so that you don’t need to carry another bag and will allow you to comfortably carry your child for hours with little pressure on your shoulders and back.

Free Like Birdie Travel Bags

Free Like Birdie’s travel bags feature labeled sections for clean and dirty items, helping to keep you organized during crazy travels with kids.

New colors and patterns rolled out for Britax, including the new ClickTight system that allows for easy seatbelt installation and a reassuring “click” that indicates it’s a perfect install.

Clek changed up their foonf and fllo seats to allow shoulder straps to start lower, to accommodate smaller babies in the infant pillow. Clek also has a brand new infant insert pillow available for the foonf and fllo that allows babies as small as 5 lbs to use the seats.
