High Chair Guide: BabyBJORN

Many baby products available on the market today are complex, both aesthetically and functionally. If you’re looking to streamline your major baby gear and want something that’s minimalistically stylish, yet also performs well on a day to day basis, look no further than the BabyBjörn Highchair

The BabyBjörn highchair is sleek and chic. It’s perfect for the family that doesn’t want the added hassle of cleaning a plush cover or a large base footprint. Like everything BabyBjörn, you can rest assured that it will stand the test of time, through multiple children and their messes, and look good while doing do.

Safety & Comfort

First and foremost, BabyBjörn is committed to safety. Along with the safety harness that’s attached to the chair itself, the highchair features a folding and locking safety table to keep your child in place.

In addition to being a top-player in safety, BabyBjörn has designed the perfect ergonomic chair to facilitate feeding and eating. The curved backrest hugs the child’s body, and helps them to sit upright comfortably with proper posture and the curved safety table fits snugly around your child’s waist.

Since the safety table is adjustable you can move it to fit your child, meaning you won’t have to worry about the “gap” between your child’s belly and the table that ultimately results in food in their lap and on the floor. (There’s nothing like a slouching toddler, halfway falling out of the highchair, interrupting an otherwise relaxing dinner!) The safety table’s snug fit also helps discourage children from standing up or pushing their legs on the table, which is a feature many highchairs on the market lack. Further, the table lock cannot be opened by the toddler.

*The BabyBjörn highchair is approved for use with children aged 6 months to 3 years old.

Appearance

The design of the BabyBjörn highchair is one of our favorites. The chair is smooth with rounded edges which give the chair a modern look and also means clean up is a breeze. There are absolutely no grooves for food to get stuck in. Keeping the bright white seat clean may seem like a daunting chore, however, since it’s made entirely out of wipeable plastic a quick wipe after meals will keep it looking new for years to come. Four padded legs and feet ensure your hardwoord floors remain unscuffed. Additionally, the BabyBjörn highchair is sleek and can easily fit into the smallest of spaces.

Functionality & Convenience

In addition to being stylish and safe, the BabyBjörn highchair is functional. The legs close up and the highchair itself folds flat, making it easy to store and ideal for traveling. It is a mere 10 inches wide when folded flat!

The safety table is also removable and dishwasher safe! (Can we all take a moment to collectively breathe a sigh of relief at the words “dishwasher safe”?) It fits nicely inside your dishwasher so instead of hand washing the tray, you can use that precious time between dinner and bedtime to snuggle with your child or read an extra bedtime story.

Putting the highchair together out of the box is a breeze and no tools are needed. You simply snap the four legs into the base of the chair and you’re ready to go! The highchair itself weighs 11 pounds, so it’s lightweight and easy to transport from one place to another.

Approval and Testing

The BabyBjörn highchair was developed in collaboration with pediatricians. BabyBjörn works closely with leading child doctors, midwives, and child psychologists, and their medical opinion is especially valued when it comes developing its products.

All BabyBjörn kitchen and bathroom products also meet plastic safety standards in both Europe and the USA. This means that the plastics are continuously and rigorously being tested for bisphenol A (BPA) and health-hazardous substances, and they are certified safe for foods. It’s important to us as mothers and so it’s important to BabyBjörn!
