  • Wash strawberries & cut off the stem
  • Place on an un-greased cookie baking sheet
  • Bake at 210 degrees for at least 3 hours (until they reach a gummy consistency)

  1. That’s a great question, Ellejay, and I wish I could answer with more certainty. The strawberries are so delicious, I’ve honestly never tried any other fruit. If you have some fruit on the cusp of going bad, I would suggest trying it, but closely watching the time, because strawberries are much bigger than any other berries. If this is something that you’re really loving and want to get more into, one of these is a great option and can do ALL fruit as well- and rather inexpensive. https://www.amazon.com/Nesco-American-Harvest-FD-37-Dehydrator/dp/B003I4F7AS/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1362245193&sr=8-1&keywords=fruit+dehydrator&tag=bomllcdm-20
Good luck, and thanks for commenting!

  2. These look great. However, how long are they good dr until they should be thrown out? Ie)room temp, fridge vs freezer

  3. Danielle,
As these don’t have any preservatives, they are best not to store any longer than you would store fresh strawberries. I would imagine that freezing them would be a good option if you want to make a big batch. 🙂
