2017 BABY SHOW PREVIEW WITH DADWARE

There’s a seriously cool event about to happen in Anaheim, California: the JPMA Baby Show 2017! This world class trade show features the best of the best when it comes to products for families. This show combines an educational conference, trade show, and consumer day. The JPMA Baby Show runs May 9th-13th. Like most trade shows, it is for industry insiders, but on May 13th there is a consumer day at the show! If you are in the Anaheim area, come check it out for yourself on May 13th.

We have some amazing brands that we will feature from the show. 2,000 to 3,000 attendees will be there, and our Managing Editor, Elena, is one of them. Elena is going to go live on Daily Mom’s Facebook from the JPMA Baby Show next week. Elena will have a special Facebook live event with the cool people from DadWare, and we hope you will join us to check out their shirts and gowns and ask questions. In the meantime, here is a preview of what DadWare is all about so you can get excited about what they will present at the JPMA Baby Show.

The Miracle of Skin to Skin Contact

When a baby is born there is one thing that all parents can do that has amazing benefits. Some call it “kangaroo care”, others call it “skin to skin”. No matter what you call it, holding your baby’s bare skin next to your bare skin is a real miracle.

This very close snuggling:

  • helps baby adapt to being outside of the womb
  • regulates body temperature
  • boosts development
  • stimulates milk production
  • makes breastfeeding easier

One company is on a mission to make kangaroo care easier for moms and dads! DadWare creates shirts and gowns just for skin to skin contact with baby that is comfortable for parent and child. This new company is amazing, and we love what they have to offer in 2017.

Created by a Dad Wanting to Stay Close

DadWare has a new solution to make infant bonding easier for dads! Sitting shirtless with a blanket isn’t comfortable, especially in a cold hospital room after delivery or if you have a winter baby. We find that the best companies creating solutions for parents are those that were created by parents to solve an actual parenting challenge they were facing. This is the case with DadWare. After DadWare’s founder welcomed his daughter into the world, he loved all the closeness and bonding from skin to skin contact but was sick of not wearing a shirt. Eventually he cut holes in old t-shirts to cover his “dad bod” but still keep his baby close. That did not work and led to the first design on a shirt just for dads with a velcro opening to tuck baby in. From there, this wonderful company began, and now all dads with newborns can benefit from this new innovation. This is their first year presenting at the JPMA Baby Show and we have no doubt everyone will be excited to see what they have to offer. Here’s a preview…

The DadWare Bondaroo shirt was created by a dad who wanted to snuggle skin to skin with his newborn and be more comfortable while doing so. The design is genius. It looks like a normal, stylish t-shirt but has a velcro flap allowing the user to easily and conveniently engage in skin to skin bonding with their newborn. The Bondaroo is very comfortable, made of bamboo, cotton, and a little spandex for stretch. This shirt is made in the U.S.A. and comes in sizes medium – XXL. Available in four colors, Dad will want more than one. Order before baby arrives and pack in your hospital bag.

The patent pending design of the Bondaroo will give Dad confidence that he can also care for his new baby. He will know that he can bond with his newborn just like Mom, even if she is breastfeeding. He will be close enough to learn when baby is hungry, tired, or stressed. Skin to skin contact relieves stress for parent and baby. Dad will be calmer and so will baby. A Bondaroo shirt should be required for all new dads! So often dads are left out when it is time to shop for a new baby. When is the last time you saw Dad get a present at a baby shower? A lot of times dads are left out of showers completely. That should not be the case! A Bondaroo shirt makes the perfect shower gift for Dad!

Moms don’t need to feel left out though. There is MomWare as well! Skin to skin contact is made easier after delivery with the MomWare Maternity Gown. This gown has a velcro flap that easily opens up to get baby close right away. Mom and baby will have a much easier time snuggling and breastfeeding than in the usual hospital gown. Like standard hospital gowns, the shoulder seam opens up, but MomWare has greatly improved on the gown design by also having a flap that cuts down the front. This front flap is what makes skin to skin contact so much easier and more comfortable for Mom. She can tuck baby in, lay back in the hospital bed, and relax knowing her baby is getting all the beautiful benefits of skin to skin contact. The gown is super soft, made of 100% poplin cotton and made in the USA. It is so comfy and convenient for caring for baby, Mom will wear it at home too. We think it makes a great nightgown for all those late night nursing/snuggle sessions.
