Baby’s First Shoes: See Kai Run

Choosing your baby’s first shoes goes beyond just a fashion choice – the shoes you decide upon will impact the development and comfort of your little one as they begin standing and walking!

Most parents know that a soft sole and more natural materials are better for baby’s feet – but how many times have you seen adorable little shoes in stores that are made from shiny, stiff materials that aren’t breathable or flexible for baby’s tiny feet? Sure they’re cute…but where is the function?

Thank goodness for See Kai Run! They have developed podiatrist-approved shoes for babies and kids in natural materials and beyond adorable designs for which you will fall head-over-heels!

Novel Design

Although we know that our children’s shoes need to be supportive, comfortable and protect their feet as they play outside – secretly (or not so secretly) we really want them to be cute! See Kai Run has nailed it with these classic shapes with fun colors and playful details. From a clean white Mary Jane to a wild polka-dot sneaker to a classic slip-on, they cover all of your bases. The shoes are both classy enough for adults to love and youthful enough for kids to go crazy over! We are really loving the dressy little Chao Qun Gold Mary Janes for girls and the classy Grandpa inspired Dexter Loafer for boys!

Quality Materials & Details

See Kai Run chooses materials and design elements that have quality you can feel. The shoes feel sturdy to hold up to daily wear but they are also soft in the right places and flexible for baby’s little developing feet.

  • butter-soft leather
  • soft suede sole
  • rubber (for a non-slip grip!)
  • breathable leather insole and lining
  • secure hook and loop closure
  • padded collars (soft around little ankles!)

Functionality

The American Podiatric Medical Association has awarded See Kai Run’s shoes with their APMA’s Seal of Acceptance after meeting all of their standards for foot health and functionality. This should make you feel great about putting them on your baby as she learns to walk and run outside this spring! The leather is breathable and supportive on the feet, it bends and flexes easily during movement and is tough enough to stand up to all the playtime that these shoes are destined for. The wide hook-and-loop closures make the shoes easy to put on and take off, as well as adjust to be tight enough to stay put.

As They Grow

Though let’s not forget those that are already up and running. See Kai Run makes shoes for kids beyond the toddling months, too! They have created three lines of shoes for different stages of development.

Smaller: 0-24 months

Start your little one off with the Smaller line, which feature soft suede soles supported by rubber grips for easy standing, and eventually, walking!

See Kai Run: 6 months – 3 years

For the new to experienced walker, the See Kai Run line features flexible rubber soles to encourage maximum movement and lots of toe room for natural flexing and gripping.

Kai: 2 – 8 years

The Kai line of shoes is the most durable and supportive for daily wear of active kids. Rugged but flexible rubber soles cushion their stride and the option of half-sizes ensures the best fit.

Accessories

See Kai Run brings their great use of color and whimsy into tights and socks too, so you can complete the look to compliment those cool shoes! They’re certified organic and are seamless for maximum comfort.
