Valentine’s Day Breakfast Ideas For The Whole Family

Valentine’s Day isn’t just about little kids trading treats at school and young lovers making romantic dinner plans with hidden boxes of jewelry and bouquets of roses. This Valentine’s Day, bring your family together for a meal that’s becoming more and more of a novelty than a common occurrence: breakfast. We’ve pulled together some fun, simple recipes and love-themed foods that your entire family will enjoy.

Nutty Tropical Strawberry Overnight Oats

Start out the night before by whipping together this super easy recipe that’s perfect for solid-food eating babies (minus the almonds), older kids and adults as well!

Post (1 of 1)

  • 1/3 cup rolled oats
  • 1 tsp chia seeds
  • 1/3 cup whole milk (almond or coconut milk is also a yummy substitute!)
  • 1/3 cup whole fat yogurt of choice
  • 5-8 strawberries chopped into smaller pieces
  • 1 tsp raw honey
  • a handful of sliced almonds
  • a handful of shredded coconut
  • 1 glass mason jar with a lid
How To:

Mix all items together and shake vigorously to mix the ingredients. Use a small spatula to push the remaining seeds and oats down from the side of the jar and make sure that the honey is evenly spread, since it tends to firm up mixed with cold dairy items. Place jar in fridge overnight. Wake up and enjoy your morning treat that’s full of healthy fats, calcium, and whole grains.
