Easter is first and foremost a religious holiday. People gather in churches (sometimes for the first time all year) to celebrate The Resurrection. Of course for us moms, there’s another side to this beautiful holiday – the Easter Bunny. Where the idea to have a man-sized rabbit hop around depositing eggs came from, we may never truly know, but every kid loves a good egg hunt! Couple all of this with the fact that it’s often a three day weekend for most employees, and you’ve got the makings of a great vacation. Here are a few great getaway ideas for this Easter, all on the East Coast, complete with Sunrise Services, chocolate bunnies, and the most comfy beds we could find!

As winter starts to settle over most of us in the US, our moods drop, our energy levels dissipate, our skin pales, and our hearts start wishing for the warm sun again — at least for those of us who are summer babies and suffer from self-diagnosed seasonal affective disorder. Don’t let the snowbanks and looming months of scarves and earmuffs get you down this year. Escape it all for a week, round up your other winter-weary friends and family, and book a ticket to year-round sunny Turks & Caicos.
Are you ready to hit the beach and the pool this summer? The temperature is rising so get ready to splash around and cool off in the water in a new swimsuit. Don’t dig out that old tankini you’ve been wearing for years. You know your kids have outgrown their suits from last year. Celebrate summertime and get everyone a new swimsuit, including you! Here are our top picks for the best swimwear for the summer of 2016.
It’s swimsuit season, usually a dreaded time for women everywhere, except for the ones whose bodies we ogle over, whose Instagram pictures we stare at until our eyes bleed, and those who make us feel like no matter how many hours we put into the gym or how many calories we count we will never amount to their bikini-goddess-role-modelness. What if this summer though, we learn how to embrace the body we’ve been graciously given, we try instead to become healthier rather than 6 pack toned, we enjoy our family and friends instead of living in the pit of gym-hell, and we tell ourselves a few things before getting into our swimsuit that might actually build us up instead of tear us down.

In the course of one day, our children’s teachers are not only their educators; they are their cheerleaders, their defenders, their nurse, their coach, their psychologists, their activists and their friend. Most importantly, teachers are our children’s mentors and role models; the person who has the potential to be one of the most influential individuals in our child’s lives.
One thing’s for sure: Teachers deserve mountains of appreciation.
Most schools have one week a year, typically in the spring, when the students and parents can shower our teachers and school staff members with adoration and thanksgiving. Teacher Appreciation Week is a fun time to get kids involved with expressing gratitude. Some schools assign a theme to each day of the week so that everyone is consistent, such as bring a flower for your teacher on Monday and a candy treat on Tuesday. In that vane, we’ve come up with a week-long list of ideas to acknowledge the hard work of our wonderful teachers, all of which you can tailor to how simple or detailed you’d like your gifts to be.

Winter Romance at the Beach: St. Simons Island, GA: Featuring: The King and Prince Beach & Golf Resort
Typically, on the Southeast coast of the United States, the beaches there in the cooler months tend to cool down a bit as well, while still maintaining a comfortably mild temperature. While others may jet set off to beaches that are hot and humid to escape the winter months, many people embrace the season as it is, and enjoy the break from the heat. If you and your partner are looking for a romantic beach getaway this winter, but don’t want to jump right back into the dead of summer, then consider taking a trip to the beautifully historic, elegantly romantic town of St. Simons Island, Georgia, where The King and Prince Beach & Golf Resort peacefully awaits your arrival.
The cold winter weather will soon set in for many of us, and that means fleeing to warmer locations to thaw out, see the sun, and spend time with family in a relaxing and blissful setting. As you start planning your winter vacation, think outside the box, and instead of trekking down to the usual Mexico or Jamaican destination, go a bit further south to sunny Costa Rica, where Dreams Las Mareas awaits you.
Infant and toddler swim lessons are not only a great bonding activity for the whole family, they also teach children water safety, competence and confidence.
Can’t wait to get started? Most swim schools recommend waiting until your baby is 6 months old at the time of their first lesson. Not only are infants that age still very comfortable in the water as it feels natural to them, but they also possess sufficient head control and the ability to regulate their body temperature which makes it the perfect time to get your little one into the pool.
If you are the mommy of an older baby or toddler perhaps swim lessons haven’t been on your radar – but now invitations for summer pool parties are pouring in, and you are worried about little feet on wet surfaces close to the edges of 8 foot deep pools.
Whether you have a baby who is still a few weeks or months shy of the half birthday mark or a toddler about to embark on their first water adventure, follow the tips below to make sure that first swim lesson is a success.
