Homework Motivation

Ah, homework. It’s the bridge between home and school. Homework is a tool teachers use to reinforce what students learned during the day and to double check if a child is able to demonstrate an understanding of the skills learned in a lesson. As important as it is as an extension of the classroom, after a day of learning, playing and activity, it may be difficult to encourage your child to sit down and focus. Back to School Shopping List

Shopping for school supplies can be a nightmare for parents. You try to plan your trip to Target around the tax-free holidays in your state and then prepare for a marathon of colored pencils, glue and pencil boxes. How do you stay organized? Do you just go in hoping for the best and make return trips if you forgot something? Or are you more meticulous, organizing your shopping list down to the very aisles you will find the school supplies on. Maybe you fall somewhere in the middle.
