Ok, so we are halfway through the year. Can you believe it? We can’t either. Let’s rewind and talk about those promises you made to yourself at the beginning of the year. Lose weight, be financially responsible, have new experiences, and so on. Looking back, can you say that you have fulfilled those New Year’s Resolutions? If not, can you say that you are certain those resolutions will be achieved within the next six months? Maybe you are on track to check those goals off your list, maybe your plans have become a bit derailed, or maybe you keep telling yourself you’ll “get to it”. Six months down, six months to go until we make a whole new set of resolutions or give the one’s we made in 2017 another try.

You’ve likely heard the saying, “summer bodies are made in the winter,” and while the saying is fairly accurate, what they fail to mention is that those coveted beach curves are also maintained throughout every. other. season. Like most of us this winter, you may have vowed to start now on a path to a healthier lifestyle, one which will give you confidence when soaking up the sun this summer. So, you took the first step getting fit, but after the high of that decision quickly wears off – Girl Scout cookies, anyone? — how do you make this decision a lifestyle rather than a momentary dream that quickly gets washed away by real life – babies that don’t sleep through the night, dinners that don’t make themselves, and time that just never seems to stop ticking? Read on for five simple changes you can make today to find – and keep – your motivation to meet your fitness goals by summer…and throughout every other season, for that matter.
Science proves that there are clear habits for success, by measuring two people groups: the rich and the poor. Seems pretty black and white, cutting people into two categories like that, right? No. There are more words to fill in the shades of gray, but for purposes of this article, let’s use these terms. Although some of us would not openly admit we want our children to be Richey Rich, none of us want our children to be poor; materially paupers, spiritually bankrupt, physically drained, or mentally wrung out. None of us. We want abundance for our kids. We want fewer struggles and more freedom. Read on for a simple recipe of overarching keys and supporting habits that will change your approach to raising successful children.

You find yourself craving knowledge about him every time you’re in his presence, and even when you’re not. You want to know all there is to know about this new person in your life. You want to understand what makes him the man you find yourself falling in love with.
As the end of the calendar year nears, many people make New Year’s resolutions. This year, why not start a new tradition and write letters to yourself instead? In one letter, do a year in review and take some time to reflect on the best moments of the year and all that you’ve accomplished. And then, for the second letter, try a different approach: write a letter to your future self as your future self. Then at the end of the year you can look back and see just how much you achieved!
