5 Unique Baby Shower Gifts

Your summer schedule is packed full of baby showers. It seems like every weekend you’re headed to Babies R Us, carrying a registry list through the aisles, choosing from the same uninspired items. While parents-to-be spend a significant amount of time researching the items they will need for their baby and adding them to their registry, let’s face it; sometimes you just want to break away from the usual crib sheets and diaper pail offerings and give them a gift that’s truly unique. The following is a list of 5 unique gifts that are sure to be a hit at your next baby shower:

  • A Bottle of Wine

This might seem like an odd gift for baby-to-be, but it’s something that will be cherished years down the road. First, choose a bottle that was either purchased the year the baby was born (you can give this bottle to him immediately), or one that was harvested and bottled the year he was born. Choose a bottle that ages well, like a fine Cabernet, and include a note with your gift, stating that the parents are to open and share this bottle of wine with their child on his 21st Birthday.

While baby-to-be probably won’t make any significant money off of a single stock share, this gift will serve more as a memento. Once purchased, Giveashare.com will immediately send you a temporary framed certificate to present the baby’s parents with at the shower. After the baby is born, his parents can send in his information, and they will be sent the official stock certificate with the baby’s name printed on it. The best part is, you will receive a baby shirt with the temporary certificate that says “I Own Disney.” This gift is sure to be the hit of the shower!

It’s so easy for new parents to lose track of time. Before they know it, a year has gone by; and while they’ve taken thousands of pictures of their little one, they haven’t printed any.

Artifact Uprising creates beautiful hard and soft cover photo books among other photo items. They offer gift cards for each type of book, which makes them the perfect gifts for parents-to-be. Present them with an Artifact Uprising gift card at their baby shower, and encourage them to create an account online and add pictures to their book as the first year goes by.

By the time their baby’s first birthday rolls around, their book will be created; and all they will have to do is submit it for publishing. They will receive a gift all over again when their photo book of their baby’s first year arrives in the mail! For more information, check out Artifact Uprising: Photo Books For Design Lovers.

    A Little Bit of Cheek

What an original list of gifts, i love the idea of giving a bottle of wine from the year the baby was born. We have been collecting the un-circulated coin sets from the years we have had our children. They love to look at them each Christmas. But the wine idea is fabulous as the child can keep it or open it on their 21st .
