Daily Mom’s 3rd baby born since our launch in March arrived on Wednesday, November 20, 2013 at 12:44pm via C-section to Writer Megan B.! William Jacob weighed 7 pounds, 12 ounces and was born at 21.5 inches long! He was welcomed into the world by his loving family, Eli, Megan and big sister, Vivien!
We asked Megan how becoming a mother of two has changed her perspective on motherhood. She had this to say, “I feel as if being a mother of two has made me appreciate each individual child’s unique personality more. Before having William, my only parenting experience has been with Vivien, so while I know what worked and what didn’t work with her. Adding William into the mix has made me a more well-rounded mom, I feel, because each child is so very different.”
Megan and her family have enjoyed becoming a family of four. Vivien, Megan’s two year old daughter, is learning her new role as a big sister! Megan says, “Vivien is slowly adapting. She is only 25 months old, so being an older sister hasn’t really hit her full-force yet. She’s a big help around the house with him, however, I can tell that she is ready to get back into a normal daily routine, since it’s been such a whirlwind of change around the house lately with visitors, a hurt Mommy, and a new brother all at once.”
We can’t forget about Megan’s husband, Eli, and his thoughts about his new son. We wanted to know what Eli is looking forward to doing with William as he grows up! “Eli is a very handy guy — always building and creating things, from furniture to normal home repair things. He’s most excited to have his own “sidekick” to teach about power-tools and woodworking.”
Congratulations, Megan and family, on your handsome new addition!
