Their patented Air Protect technology “is a safety system designed to protect children in some of the most severe side impact crashes, those with vehicle intrusion. Side impact crashes are one of the most threatening for children, accounting for more than 30% of child crash fatalities. Air Protect helps to divert crash energy away from the child, releasing air on impact to immediately reducing impact forces.”
The Cozi-Dozi infant support fills in any extra space between your little one and the sides of the Mico AP. It allows your little one as small as 4 lbs to use the Mico AP safely and comfortably.
Installation
The Mico AP is incredibly easy to install with its stay-in-car base and LATCH system. If your car does not have a LATCH system or you would like to transfer your seat to another car or an airplane without the base, it can be secured using an approved lap belt.
Since the Mico AP is strictly for infants between 5-22 lbs and 19-29″ in height, it may only be installed in a rear-facing position.
