Perast
Perast is an adorable old town in the Bay of Kotor that makes an amazing day trip for anyone staying in Herceg Novi. Aside from its picturesque beauty and incredibly photogenic streets, Perast is well known as the man made island located right off the coast, Our Lady of the Rocks, that houses a beautiful church and boasts a great history.
Gradska Kafana
The Gradska Kafana is a gorgeous restaurant off the coast of Herceg Novi. They offer traditional Montenegrin dishes as well as Italian cuisine and fish specialties. They also have breakfast, lunch, and dinner menus, as well as a huge selection of wines, beer, and liquor for guests.
Our Lady of the Rocks
Our Lady of the Rocks is a man made island located off the coast of the town Perast in the Bay of Kotor. The island’s legend states that, to uphold the oath, after finding an icon of Madonna, local seamen would throw a rock into the water every time they returned from sea. Over time so many rocks accumulated in the water it started forming an island. Old ships were sunk to continue creating the island and once the island emerged, a church was built on it. The church is beautiful and the views are breathtaking, as you’re surrounded by water. It can get crowded, so arrive early.
Konoba Sikimic
Located in the Zlijecbi village, this restaurant is in a traditional stone house. The restaurant prides itself on creating dishes in the traditional manner using an iron pan. This is a full experience with a tour for groups.
Lustica
Lustica is a beautiful peninsula located across from Herceg Novi that offers remote relaxation and activities. You can kayak around it and explore the caves, you can choose to ride ATVs through rocky paths, swim the crystal clear waters of the tide pools, or enjoy local foods at Moric farm. Lustica can be reached from Herceg Novi by car or by boat (faster).
Ribarsko Selo
A restaurant that has it all: an amazing view, plenty of spaces for relaxation, and one of the most gorgeous beaches on the island. The food is extremely fresh and delicious. You can pick your seafood straight from the fresh on ice display in the restaurant. After dinner, you can enjoy the swings with a gorgeous view of the bay.
Moric Family Farm
In the village of Moric is a little family-owned farm. They have local foods, including yummy handcrafted donuts. You can tour the olive garden or enjoy local and farm-fresh foods in the stone house.
Mount Orjen

Forte Mare

Kanli Kula Fortress
This fortress was built by the Turks and used as a prison. Known as the “bloody tower” visitors can go down to see the dungeons. On the top of the tower is a massive seating area that is used for movies and performances.
Kamp Begovic
Kamp Begovic is a popular camping site in Herceg Novi. But if you aren’t interested in camping, you can simply go visit for gorgeous views and photo opportunities.
Old Town
Old Town is a beautiful area of Herceg Novi with stone covered streets and medieval buildings. Due to its exciting history of being passed hand to hand, this old town differs a bit from other areas of Montenegro. You will see modern shops built directly into the old buildings and get to pet kitties perched up on every wall and step. Herceg Novi isn’t called a town of steps for nothing, there are plenty of steps to go up and up.

Pet Danica Walkway
The Pet Danica Walkway spans 3.75 miles along the coastline of Montenegro. Here you will find bakeries, coffee shops, little restaurants, and other shops for souvenirs all along the way. It used to be a railroad track that was converted to a promenade.
Blue Cave
Blue Cave is a beautiful cave where the light hits the water just right to reflect off the sandy bottom with beautiful blue colors. Many tours take visitors to the Blue Cave to swim, snorkel and kayak. We recommend Montenegro Outdoors. You can always kayak the surrounding caves and explore around.
