Finding educational kids shows on Netflix should be easy, right? WRONG! There’s a ton of content out there, and sometimes it’s easier to get stuck browsing through the same titles instead of choosing something to watch. Have you tried finding an educational show or educational app that’ll spark creativity and keep their engagement? Something fresh, new, and exciting? It seems impossible, seeing as how the site is designed to show you what it thinks you want to watch based on an algorithm comprised of your viewing history. And while these algorithms generally work in your favor, you may be missing out on a ton of ‘hidden’ movies and TV shows!
But don’t worry-we’ve got your keys to the Netflix vault. Introducing: Secret Netflix Codes! It’s like the not-so-secret Starbucks menu, but for Netflix. These codes reveal all the content you didn’t know you wanted to binge! They categorize all educational kids shows on Netflix’s content into very specific groups instead of broad categories. Best of all, they’re easy to use! Use them to help you unlock all the educational binge worthy movies and TV shows for the kids and you!
How to Access and Use Netflix Codes
Using the hidden Netflix codes is easy. First and foremost, make sure you’re logged into Netflix with your credentials. Then, simply copy and paste this URL http://www.netflix.com/browse/genre/NUMBERCODE into your browser and replace the word “NUMBERCODE” with the actual numerical code that pertains to your desired category. Press enter and voila! You’ll be discovering new content in a matter of seconds. Once you’re there, browse for your child’s (or your) new favorite show or movie.
The only downside to these secret codes is that they are only accessible through a web browser (i.e. Google Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Internet Explorer, etc.). This means you can only access the categories through a desktop computer, laptop, tablet, or mobile phone. If a TV application (from a Smart TV or using an Amazon Firestick, an Apple TV, or a Roku) is your platform of choice, you’ll have to use a browser to search and manually enter your desired program’s title in the search tool on your TV’s Netflix application. You may find that using these codes is easier than setting parental controls.
