Oh, have we got something exciting for you today!  A DIY natural home fragrance made with an item that is already in your kitchen (hint: you usually throw these out!)!

When we found out about this idea, we immediately thought, “Sign us up!”

And the best part is that this project is as simple as simple can be.  It’s inexpensive, all-natural and completely chemical-free (how many other air fresheners can say that?), and it will fill your home with the most amazing, delicious scent.

Here’s what you need:

ORANGES!

Here’s what you do:

Peel 2-4 large oranges, and put the rinds in a saucepan.  Fill the saucepan with water to about 3/4 full, and let the mixture simmer on the stove.  Enjoy the amazing scent for hours!

Variations:

Throw in a cinnamon stick/cloves/cardamom/bay leaves
Add a few drops of vanilla/almond extract
Try adding apple or pear peels
Make a citrus-y combo with any mix of orange, grapefruit, lime, and lemon peels

The combinations are endless, and we hope you enjoy!
