This wine and cheese reception can be enjoyed in an air conditioned room or outside in a relaxing, welcoming courtyard. There are few things better than the sound of a running fountain, lush gardens, and free drinks. Enjoy!

The Fulton Lane Inn is a hidden treasure tucked inside an ally right on King’s Street. This central location gives you great access to amazing shopping. You’re just a short walk away from designer stores or local finds in the Charleston Market.

You are also an afternoon stroll away from some of America’s most historic sites. Visit The Battery, a civil war artillery battery, located at the Charleston peninsula. You will see cannons and cannonballs, historic statues, and lush grass while you wander through this shaded park. Also in this area you will find Rainbow Row, a large section of antebellum homes, each painted in a beautiful pastel. Take the time to soak in these momentous sights.

While you’re here, take a look at some of the gorgeous churches and cemeteries. Escape into one of the cities secret gardens located between properties or behind the many shops downtown. Or, take a tour of Calhoun Mansion and take your time exploring it’s extravagant landscaping.

Where To Eat

When in Charleston there is an endless selection of amazing restaurants. We recommend making a reservation at McCrady’s, one of Charleston’s most desired restaurants. Tucked away in an alley, like so many of Charleston’s best kept secrets, McCrady’s features fresh from the farm meals that are equally inventive as they are delicious. Even many of the ceramic dishes they serve the cuisine on are locally made and full of southern charm.

Downtown Attractions

The number of attractions in downtown Charleston are endless. Take your children on a walk to one of the city fountains while you gaze at the USS Yorktown sitting just across the water at Patriots Point. These gardens and parks are shaded and paved for an easy stroller ride. After this, visit the Charleston aquarium which will keep everyone entertained for hours.

Or, if you are looking for a day at the beach, take a quick cab ride to one of the many surrounding islands. We personally love Folly Beach on James Island. The beaches are quiet and the town is relaxed.
