If there’s one trending phrase right now, it’s “virtual learning.” It’s something every parent of school-aged kids has said this year, and something a lot of parents have actually had to do or will be doing this coming school year. If we’re all in the same boat, the best we can do is make the best of it. To set your child, and yourself, up for success, deck out your virtual learning classroom (or, let’s be honest, your dining room table) with some of these helpful products and make the most of this school year.
Virtual Learning
IKEA MICKE Desk
We’re all sick of clearing off the dining room table every night. Set your child up for learning with their own small MICKE Desk. At 28 3/4″ x 19 5/8″, it’s compact, simple, and a great price at under $50.
Giantex Low Back Adjustable Children’s Rolling Chair
It’s amazing how much a comfortable chair impacts one’s work progress. So just imagine how much better a child will do with this year’s virtual learning in a comfortable, adjustable chair. Don’t settle for black when you can let them choose a color that fits their personality, too.
Acer Chromebook Spin 11
If your child doesn’t already have access to a laptop, a cheaper alternative is a Chromebook. The Acer Spin 11 takes it a step up with a touch display, WACOM pen, and up to 10 hours of battery life.

Alcyoneus 1080p Webcam w/ Microphone
Virtual learning relies on good video conferencing. If you have an older desktop or laptop, or a computer that just doesn’t have a great webcam, make sure you have a reliable one before the start of this school year.
Sceptre Ultra Thin LED Monitor
Until you get one, you may not realize how beneficial a dual monitor setup can be. Being able to have multiple windows open at once (like viewing a teacher’s video screen while doing work on the other) can be so helpful and time-saving. Make sure you also get the correct adapters for connecting the two together.
Etekcity LED Desk Lamp with USB Charging Port
Having great lighting is conducive to learning. For any child’s setup, make sure to have a task light with adjustable output. This one even has a colorful night-light base for kids to personalize their area.
Mpow Kids Headphones & Mic
With parents working at home or multiple kids virtual learning at the same time, it’s important for everyone to not only hear what’s important, but keep their sound to themselves. Get everyone their own set of headphones with mic to keep the sound down and learning up.

HP OfficeJet Pro 8035 All-in-One Wireless Printer
Having a printer at home is important for those actual writing-on-worksheet skills kids need. We love that this printer comes with EIGHT MONTHS of ink delivered right to you. No more running out finding the exact match. And hopefully, eight months is all we need before virtual learning is just a memory…
Cuisinart DCC-3200P1 Coffee Maker
For some of us, having a great cup of coffee (or five) is a necessity to get through the day, especially with virtual learning. This handsome 14-cup coffee maker is programmable, has auto-shut-off, and makes a perfect temp brew every time.
Ember Smart Mug
Running around each morning preparing for virtual learning, it’s bound to happen, your coffee goes cold. Not with Ember’s Smart Mug! Not only does it keep your coffee hot, but you can adjust your temperature with your smartphone to be the perfect temp for you.
Yeti Rambler 30 oz.
Keep your child from wandering to the kitchen for yet another drink with an insulated tumbler. The Yeti Rambler keeps drinks super cold for the ENTIRE DAY and comes in a variety of colors. The only thing they may need to get up for are bathroom breaks.

Time Timer Visual Countdown Clock
For little children or kids who lack a sense of time, a countdown clock is an extremely helpful tool. Any teacher will tell you that it helps with concentration and organization. Give children independence while assisting them with their time management by using the Time Timer.
Outray Kids Bluelight Blocking Glasses
When anyone is using a computer for an extended period of time, they should be wearing blue light protection. Help reduce your child’s eyestrain by getting them a good fitting pair of Outray Kids Blue Light glasses. Get your child excited to wear them by letting them pick the color, too.
TP-Link AC1750 Smart WiFi Router
The best thing you can do for virtual learning is to have a great internet connection. Make sure your router is set up to broadcast for the size of your home and location of where you’re working (or in this case, learning). Have a large house? Consider investing in a mesh network of routers.
Amazon Kindle for Reading
If your child is in need of reading quite a few books this year, get him or her a Kindle. Unlike laptops or other digital devices, it’s made for reading, and distraction-free. A single battery charge on a Kindle lasts for weeks, and with Prime Reading, they’ll have unlimited access to thousands of titles.
Kraft Paper Notebooks
Virtual learning is going to be different from in-school learning, so let children personalize their learning, where possible. We love these Kraft Paper Notebooks. They’re adorably motivating, simple and durable, yet fun, and have plenty of room for personalizing with stickers, markers, or whatever creativity sparks their interest.

Gel pens are colorful, fun, and great for creative minds. But also notoriously permanent. Not anymore! The FriXion Erasable Gel Pens erase clean with the use of the built-in eraser. So color on, creative minds, and erase clean!
AmazonBasics Oscillating Ceramic Heater
Don’t give your child another reason to complain about doing their school work. Keep the temperature around them nice and toasty with a small, portable space heater. With tip-over auto shut off, and adjustable thermostat, your child will be the temp they need to be ready for great learning.
Lesson Face Live Music Lessons
Virtual learning may not include the arts this year. So make sure to supplement your child’s education with music lessons from Lesson Face. Pick teachers based on instrument and experience, then just log on!
Self-Adhesive Cork Board Tiles
All children should have a place to hang their artwork, important papers, schedules, and personal items. Any old bulletin board works, but why not make it special? Hanging a few cork-board tiles in a fun, geometric pattern is a great way to do it.

Really Good Stuff Plastic Desktop Paper Storage Baskets
When rockin’ virtual learning at home, organization is key to keeping things on track and keeping craziness at a minimum. Pick up a few of these colorful paper bins to keep each child’s work straight. Have a bin for “To-Do” and “Finished” for each child and there’s no question what they should be working on.
Babyganics Alcohol-Free Foaming Hand Sanitizer
Germs are why we’re virtual learning at home this year. So make sure even the germs at home are kept to a minimum with hand sanitizer. Place a bottle at each child’s desk, and use before working, after, and inbetween. We like the alcohol-free foaming variety from BabyGanics.
Anker PowerPort Cube
So many devices, only so many locations to plug them in! Every laptop, monitor, printer, phone charger will have a place for power with this cool PowerPort Cube by Anker. With 3 outlets and 3 USB ports, no electronic shall be left unpowered!
StrongTek Foot Rest
For children who fidget or those who just need a bit of a foot boost under their desk, a footrest can be really beneficial. This non-slip wood design improves ergonomics and posture, increases circulation, and reduces foot fatigue.
Bostitch QuietSharp
It’s something we take for granted or don’t think about, but when kids need their pencils sharpened, there’s really only one way to do it, with a sharpener. Get a quiet, electric one that accommodates different size pencils, and every child will have ready-to-go writing utensils for virtual learning at home this year.
If there’s one thing we parents all know, is that we’re all in this together. It may be easier or harder for some, but we’re certainly not alone. Tackle this school year head-on and prepare for a productive one with some of these great products to hopefully make this virtual learning school year just a little (or maybe a lot) easier.
