A Local Wig Store
Donating to a local store helps keep their costs as low as possible making it more affordable to individuals that do not qualify for a donation. This is a great way to honor a loved one by donating to a store where they once bought their wigs.
General Requirements
- Hair must be clean and dry
- Depending on where you are donating to hair must be 8″-12″ long
- Cut the hair above a ponytail or braid and leave it gathered when mailing
- Hair cannot be chemically processed
- Place donation in a plastic bag or wrapped in tissue and then seal in a padded envelope
- Gray hair is accepted
Check with your local salon to see if they offer discounts to individuals donating hair. Also, they can often take care of packaging and shipping the donation for you to make sure it is done properly.
