Sprinkling an ever-so-subtle chill into the late evening breeze, fall is shyly peeking through the leaves atop the highest branches of the trees, as they fall freely, dancing in the wind down to the golden tips of the dying grass below.
We busy ourselves with back-to-school chaos, as the season changes right beneath our feet, almost oblivious to the subtlety of it all. Soft chunky sweaters and velvety leather boots replace swimsuits and flips flops on the shelves at our favorite stores almost overnight, football jerseys find their way out of the backs of our closets, our kids begin the search for the perfect Halloween costumes, and our Pinterest feeds are taken over by pumpkin decor, pine cone wreathes and homemade apple cider recipes.
Fall is here! And just like that, we delve into a world of warm earthy color schemes, the perfect blue jean weather and… PUMPKIN SPICE GALORE!
Fall is my favorite season. I love the colors, the cool air, the decorations and the seasonal flavors of holiday pies, cookies, butters and spreads, and most importantly, coffee. I am a coffee addict, to say the least. I love everything about it, from the smell of the fresh beans when I open a new bag to the sandy texture of grinds on my spoon to the warmth of the mug in my hands and the rich, bold taste of that first sip each morning. I swear, I can feel the exact moment that first sip reaches my soul and awakens my body and my mind.
In my younger child-free days, I would jump on all of the trendy “Pumpkin Spice” bandwagons each fall, scavenging out the seasonal barista specials like it was a game, and relishing in my victories all season long. As a busy mom of two now, I don’t have the time or the money to ride the Pumpkin Spice Express from coffee shop to coffee shop anymore. But that doesn’t mean I don’t deserve to fill my fall flavor cravings like everyone else.
Having tried their limited Centennial Reserve recently, released in celebration of “100 Years of Serving Great Coffee to Extraordinary People,” I was so excited to learn that New England Coffee produces a line of seasonal flavored coffee for fall lovers like me.
Both of their fall flavors, Pumpkin Spice and Caramel Apple, are made with the same dedication and thought that goes into every variety of delicious coffee they make, and are available in ground bags and single serve pods.
I absolutely love using my Keurig on a daily basis, because I am the only one in my house who drinks coffee. The convenience of a quick single brew is important to me, so New England Coffee’s seasonal pods have quickly become a staple in my home this fall.
While many of my mom friends have to leave their homes early each morning to swing by their local coffee shop on their way to school drop off to get their Pumpkin Spice fix, I love that I can pop a seasonal New England Coffee pod into my Keurig, and in seconds, my travel mug is infusing the steamy aromas of the flavors of fall, and I’m ready to hit the road.
And the bags are perfect to keep on hand for get-togethers with family and friends this season. I can brew a full pot of Pumpkin Spice or Caramel Apple, and my entire kitchen smells like all of the goodness of fall. I have to admit, I will probably be hosting a few extra coffee nights at my house over the next few months, because there is literally nothing better than the smell of coffee and warm pumpkin spice waifing throughout your home.
New England Coffee is celebrating the extraordinary people they’ve been serving over the last 100 years, and busy moms are definitely extraordinary. We rarely have the time to treat ourselves to little indulgences, so New England Coffee is doing it for us with their delicious seasonal flavors!
