Rosemary Flax Parmesan Crackers

Rosemary Flax Parmesan Crackers

Kids frequently want to share whatever their moms happen to be eating and it is sometimes a challenge to find healthy snacks that work for tiny hands and teeth and also nourish moms. This is especially true when it comes to things like crackers, pretzels, and nuts. This recipe makes a perfect snack for moms and toddlers alike and might even make it onto the table at your next cocktail party!

This recipe is not only easy, requiring just a few ingredients, but it results in a cracker that almost dissolves in your mouth, making it a perfect snack for little eaters who have yet to master their chewing skills. Rosemary and parmesan cheese give these crackers great flavor and the lack of wet ingredients makes it an ideal recipe for little chefs and their moms.

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp chia seeds
  • 2 tbsps chopped rosemary (fresh or dried)
  • 1/4 c parmesan cheese
  • 2 tbsp ground flax
  • 1 tsp ground pepper

Combine all ingredients and mix until well combined. Drop by tablespoonful onto a greased cookie sheet or one covered with a baking mat.

Bake at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes or until firm. Note crackers are very thin and therefore fragile – perfect for little eaters but be careful when moving them from cookie sheet to high chair!

Makes approximately 10 crackers.
