Did you plant a few too many tomatoes or buy a ton of delicious strawberries? Don’t let these delicious summer treats go to waste! Save them for those cold winter months by using the Fagor Canning Set. Make sweet preserves, spicy salsa, or healthy baby food so you may reap what you have sowed for the months to come.
Fagor is a 9 piece canning set. In this set you will find a ladle, canning funnel, pressure cooker, jar lifter, magnetic lid lifter, bubble freer, canning rack, cookbook, jar wrench, and DVD. Everything you need to get started canning is included but, you can do more than just can with the individual pieces.
The pressure cooker, used for canning, can also be a saving grace in your kitchen. If you frequently forget to defrost your main course, don’t worry. A pressure cooker can reduce cooking time by 70%, leaving you with a tender, delicious dinner. Cook meats, beans, grains, and vegetables quickly, in small or large portions. The set includes a cookbook specifically for the pressure cooker so you can get as much use as possible from your new kitchen accessory.
This is the perfect canning set to make a small or medium batch quickly and easily. The pressure cooker has a yellow button that pops up when the steam has reached the ideal pressure. Then, it lowers completely when the pressure has released so you know when to open the cooker.
New To Canning?
The benefit of pressure cooker canning, as opposed to hot water bath canning is clear; you can preserve a wider variety of food using the pressure cooker method. Low acidity foods, such as carrots, must be canned using a pressure cooker.
There are a few simple steps to follow when canning. First, you must sanitize your jars and lids in boiling water. Next, make your food, whether it be salsa, jam, baby food, or something even more adventurous. Third, add your mixture to the jar leaving an appropriate amount of room and wiping any drips off the rim. Finally, seal the jars and place them in the pressure cooker for the allotted time, this allows the jars to be air sealed and all remaining microorganisms are killed.
Remember, Fagor makes canning easy with the accompanying cookbook. You won’t have to guess on pressure cooking times or how much pectin to add to your jam. Everything is clear and easy to follow.
